The process starts with the topic of connections: one of the main objectives of the new Operational Plan is in fact to enhance and integrate the existing infrastructures (“Declassata” road, “Asse delle Industrie” artery road, ring roads, motorway, “Interporto” area, cycle paths) to strengthen and relaunch Prato’s role in the metropolitan system as well as outside of the region, in addition to improving the quality of life on an urban scale.
New roles will be defined for the urban areas and open spaces overlooking the main infrastructures and the spaces connecting with the dense city, historical centre and agricultural areas will be strengthened.
